Vavasour 'Claudia' has now been renamed 'PAPA', which is named after the soils in the region, and where Vavasour's vineyard is located and that formed part of the original and the first, plantings in the Awatere Valley.If you like Te KoKo Sauvignon Blanc, we suggest you give this much more affordable alternative a try.
Sauvignon Blanc from the Awatere Valley is typically, fresh, zingy and vibrant, with fruit salad and lime flavours dominating. When the fruit is whole bunch pressed, then fermented in old oak the resulting wine can be quite sublime.
The salty mineral and cream notes work well in harmony and give the wine incredible texture. The ripe lemon, lime and nectarine notes are positively mouth watering.
