Typical regional characters of liquorice, raspberry and five spice are matched with restrained toasty oak. The palate is rich in red fruits, cocoa-like fine powdery tannins and long lasting fruit flavours .
Little surprise
It needs 15-20 mins breathing, and i will only give 5 of 10 for its full-bodiness.
Continued to be Great MadFish
The Gold Turtle series continues to be of great value. I think the wine was at its peak between 30 mins and 90 mins of breathing, it veered quickly but was still a fine one, maybe the temperature was a bit too cold. Whilst at peak, it's definitely impressive!! I'm willing to pay double for this wine.
I give it a 5* rating because its a great summer substitute for Rose
This is a wonderful Shiraz in its own right, a 4.5 star Shiraz, particularly after a 45 minute breathing, it is great.

I'm not easily impressed, but this is a bargain for $100.
Madfish Gold Turtle
Without being dramatic, this is amazing example of cool climate shiraz. And the price is very good too. I think this will age very well.
