Details
This Malbec comes from vineyards rich in lime, grafted in 2015 on Sauvignon Blanc that were planted six years earlier. In Descorchados we have already talked enough about the effect of lime and, above all, the effect that this type of soil has on Malbec. There are essential examples in the Uco Valley, in Gualtallary, in Altamira. Several of them are among the best wines we have tasted in South America.
This Malbec offers a different face, but on similar soils. The cold influence of the sea is present here, but the soil is the protagonist, determining the structure of the tannins that look like chalk, which have that grain, that severe, austere texture. A wine that impresses with the way it absorbs the soil. " Uncorked Guide 2020
