Chile
The Limari Valley is South America’s Best Terroir.
Limestone Soil - The Limari Valley, like Marlborough & Champagne, produces a minerality in the wines which lends them a pure taste.
Coastal Climate - Limari is a on Chile’s north west Coast. Here the growers have cooler summers but longer ripening periods, and over this time, more depth of flavour is produced.
There are new labels at Tabali all talking about soils and soil characteristics. The the line previously known as 'Gran Reserva Especial' is known as 'Vetas Blancas' (white streaks or white veins) and 'Gran Reserva' has been renamed to 'Pedregoso' (stony), both talking about the terroir where the grapes are grown.
